Dr. Gooden was born and raised in Flint, Michigan. She has been around health care all her life, having both parents, grandfather and sister who were all medical doctors. She decided that was the route that she was going to pursue after getting her B.S. in Mathematics from the University of Akron. A commitment to marriage and family life delayed that pursuit. She later was introduced to Chiropractic and a spark was ignited within her. She would much rather help people live life at optimal levels by removing any interference to the body functioning as designed. She then attended Parker University and got her B.S. in Health and Wellness and her Doctor of Chiropractic degrees. She now enjoys educating people on the true meaning of health. She joined Parker University as an Assistant Professor in January of 2022. She is course director for Activator 2 and Sacro Occipital Technique. Dr. Gooden loves to spend time with her family, especially her grandchildren, who she does not get to see nearly enough! In her spare time, if she is not doing something with her church, she is engaging in her passion of singing and dancing. She loves ringing chords and performing with her Sweet Adeline sisters singing 4-part acapella harmony. She also loves directing her church choir.
