Dr. Kristy Carbonelli is the Department Chair of Basic Sciences at Parker University, where she leads faculty across the foundational sciences and oversees the Gross Anatomy Lab and Willed Body Program. She is dedicated to preparing future chiropractors through innovative education, strong curriculum design, and student-centered learning. 

After more than a decade of private practice, Dr. Carbonelli transitioned into academia, bringing real-world clinical and business experience to chiropractic education. She redesigned Parker University’s Business of Chiropractic course to help students build financially sustainable, patient-centered practices that support both clinical excellence and provider well-being. 

A certified trainer in trauma-informed care, Dr. Carbonelli teaches and speaks nationally about creating healthcare experiences that foster trust, improve communication, and enhance patient outcomes. She also serves as President of the Faculty American Chiropractic Association and Faculty Advisor for Student ACA, where she advances leadership, advocacy, and professional development within the chiropractic profession. 

Dr. Carbonelli believes compassionate, sustainable practices are intentionally designed and not left to chance. Her work empowers chiropractors to build practices where patients thrive and providers do, too.
